Demetrius Hart tied a school record with six touchdowns and gained 286 all-purpose yards to lead Dr. Phillips Football to a 45-0 victory over Oak Ridge in the Regional Semifinal.  Hart rushed for four scores, hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass from Nick Patti and returned a punt 68 yards for a score.  His performance tied the mark set by Al Gilreath vs. Colonial back in 1990 and earned him the Apex Wealth Management Player of the Game for the third time this season.

After a scoreless first quarter, DP (12-0) ripped off three straight touchdowns.  Hart's first score came at the 11:54 mark of the second quarter.  After breaking off a 33-yard run down to the Oak Ridge 20, Hart took it in from four yards out five plays later to put the Panthers on the board, 7-0.  After forcing an Oak Ridge punt, DP took over at their own 44 on the next possession.  Jake Janse hauled in a 14-yard pass down to the Pioneer 37 and two plays later, Patti tossed a 38-yard touchdown pass to Dee Hart for a 14-0 lead with 9:19 left in half.  Two minutes later, the Panthers were back on the prowl, this time at their own 48 and it was Dee Hart's drive.  The senior running back carried seven times for 45 yards, including a two yard touchdown to push the lead to 21-0 at the break.

In the third quarter, senior Shawn Moffitt boomed a 40-yard field goal on DP's opening drive for a 24-0 lead.  With 5:41 left in the quarter, Oak Ridge was forced to punt again but Dee Hart made them pay with a 68-yard touchdown return, his second of the season.  Up 31-0, the Panthers continued to press.  After Ryan Luckett's interception near midfield, Hart raced for 19 yards, Eric Harrell ran for 11 more and quarterback Joe Scott picked up 18 of his own before Hart punched it in from seven yards out for a 38-0 lead.  Hart would complete the scoring with a 32-yard touchdown run with 2:54 left in the third quarter for the final 45-0 margin.

Dee Hart has now scored 46 touchdowns this year, a Central Florida record, and is closing in on the all-time state record of 49 set last year.  He owns 23 school records to date and has gained over 6,700 all-purpose yards and scored 84 touchdowns in his career.  Kicker Shawn Moffitt increased his consecutive extra point record to 121, now second all-time nationally.  Nick Patti has now thrown 28 touchdown passes with only one interception.  Defensively, the Panthers held Oak Ridge to just 60 yards rushing and 75 through the air.  Their six sacks were a season-high as they recorded their school record-tying fifth shutout of the season.  DP will now advance to the Regional Championship for the first time in school history where they'll face Loxahatchee Seminole Ridge (11-1) at home Friday night at 7:30 PM.  Tickets will be on sale for $7.00 throughout the week on campus as well as Friday at the gate.
