After a disappointing offensive performance against Olympia a day earlier, Baseball woke up the bats against visiting Ocoee with a 7-2 victory. DP found itself down, 1-0, in the second inning but rallied for seven straight runs, including thee each in the fourth and fifth innings, to run their record to 14-7 on the season. With the game tied at 1-1 in the fourth, Will Sullivan roped a two-out single to right to score Jorden Peace and two batters later, CJ Cantwell dropped a two-run single into left to bring home August Haymaker and Will Sullivan for a 4-1 lead. In the fifth, James Hurst got the rally going with a leadoff double to right and came home on an RBI single from Mitchell Stockwell. Consecutive singles by Brandon Fields and Sebastian Oetterer loaded the bases with nobody out and a wild pitch brought home Stockwell. After a walk to Will Sullivan loaded the bases again, Jacob Hartman's sacrifice fly brought home Brandon Fields for a 7-1 lead. August Haymaker picked up the win on the mound, allowing just one run on three hits over four innings. DP will head up to Apopka Friday night for a 7:30 first pitch.
