4/23/2017 10:47:00 AM

On the diamond, Baseball traveled up to Apopka Friday night and delivered an impressive 7-1 victory over the Blue Darters to lift their record to 15-7. Mitchell Stockwell got the call on the mound and had his strongest outing of the season, firing four innings of one-hit ball, allowing no runs while striking out two to pick up the victory. Equally strong was Casey Carns, who came on in relief in the fifth and went three innings, scattered two hits, allowed an unearned run and struck out one. Offensively, the Panthers battered Apopka early with six runs in the first four innings. August Haymaker went 4-4 with a double, triple, RBI and two runs scored while Brandon Fields finished 2-4 with an RBI and a run. DP will host Evans tomorrow at 4:30 in the final week of the regular season.
