2017 Women's Swimming and Diving

Women's Swimming defeats Osceola

In the season-opening meet, Women's Swimming dominated visiting Osceola, placing first and second in every event in a 221-53 victory. Double victories were turned in by seniors Roseleen Olivares (100 fly and 500 free) and Caroline Grzeszczak (200 free, 100 free) and junior Kayla Smith (200 IM and 100 back) while sophomore Samantha Horency won the 50 free and senior Paola Hernandez captured the 100 breast. DP swept all three relays as well with Smith, Olivares, Hernandez and Grzeszczak in the 200 medley relay, Horency, Hernandez, Julia Batzer and Bailey Valdes in the 200 free relay and closed out the meet with the 400 free relay title behind Smith, Grzeszczak, Horency and Olivares. DP (1-0) will get back in the pool next Wednesday evening at Boone.
