Women's Golf had three golfers shoot in the 70's and that was strong enough to net them a runner-up finish at the Metro West Conference Championship Wednesday at Forest Lake Country Club. Jennifer Jung had the low round of the match for the Panthers at one-over par 73. Skai Guity finished at five-over 77 and Emma Hallson completed the trifecta with a seven-over par 79. Rounding out the scoring foursome for DP was Lindsey Lewis, who came into the clubhouse with a round of 101. Upstart Windermere HS took the first place trophy with a team score of 309 followed by DP at 330, with Olympia in third place 37 strokes back at 367. Apopka, Edgewater, Ocoee and West Orange finished fourth through seventh, respectively. The Panthers will resume their dual match schedule next Thursday as they get another crack at Windermere, this time at Orange Lake.
