Women's Swimming cedes to West Orange
10/4/2017 10:06:00 PM

Despite individual victories in five events, Women's Swimming simply couldn't keep pace with visiting West Orange on Senior Day in a 183-105 loss that dropped their season mark to 3-3. Junior Kayla Smith won both the 100 back and 200 IM and swam the leadoff leg on two winning relays. Senior Roseleen Olivares captured the 500 free and placed second in the 100 fly. Olivares and Smith teamed up with Paola Hernandez and Caroline Grzeszczak to win the 200 medley relay while in the 400 free relay, Sam Horency stepped in with Olivares, Grzeszczak and Smith to take first place. Second place finishes were credited to Paola Hernandez (100 breast), Caroline Grzeszczak (100 free and 200 free) and Sam Horency (50 free). DP now enters their championship season with the always-tough Metro West Championship set for next Wednesday at the Aquatic Center.
