In what might be the most competitive region in the state, Men’s Golf finished with a team score of 338 to place fourth at the Regional Championship at Orange Tree. DP finished 25 strokes behind first place Lake Nona (313) with Windermere (325) and Olympia (326) taking second and third, respectively. The top two teams advance from the Regional to the State Tournament. Individually, freshman Brendan Valdes qualified for the State Tournament with an even-par 72 while freshman Keoni Martin shot three-over par 75. Junior Joey Hodges (93) and junior William Barger (98) completed the scoring for the Panthers, who finished their team season with a record of 14-1. For Valdes, he will compete at Mission Inn Tuesday November 3rd. In addition, Valdes was featured on the Golf Channel yesterday morning spotlighting him as a 2018 Drive, Chip and Putt National Finalist at Augusta (see attached photo)!
