The wait is over for our Swimming and Diving teams as District results are in from around the state and we now know who has qualified to advance to Saturday's Regional Championship in St. Petersburg! Women's Swimming will be represented in nine events, including two relays. Junior Kayla Smith heads into the 100 backstroke seeded third, the highest individually, and fourth for the 100 fly. Senior Roseleen Olivares is right behind Smith in the 100 fly, seeded fifth, and is also in for the 500 freestyle with a 14 seed. Senior Caroline Grzeszczak qualified in both the 100 freestyle (12th) and the 200 freestyle (19th) while senior Paola Hernandez earned a berth in the 100 breaststroke (14th) and sophomore Sam Horency is in for the 50 freestyle, seeded 22nd. The Panthers' District Champion 200 medley relay team of Smith, Olivares, Hernandez and Grzeszczak enter as the number two seed while the 200 freestyle relay team of Smith, Olivares, Horency and Grzeszczak qualified as a fifth seed.
