After setting the school record for wins in a season (21) a game earlier, Women's Water Polo saw their season come to an end as they fell to Olympia in the District Championship, 13-1. The Panthers trailed by just three after one quarter but the Titans erupted for six more in the second to win going away. The loss marks the final game in the storied careers of senior captains and Academic All-Americans Julia James and Maddie Magrino, who have started nearly every game since their freshmen year. Magrino finished her final season with a team-high 93 goals (third highest in program history), a school-record 80 assists and 120 steals while James had another sensational season as well with 64 goals, 38 assists and 75 steals. Statistically strong seasons were also turned in by junior Bailey Valdes (40 goals, 24 assists, 28 steals) and freshman goaltender Samantha Horency (120 saves, 32 assists). Despite the loss of six seniors (three starters) DP (21-5) has much to build on for next season with a strong group of underclassmen fully capable of continuing the program's progress over the next few years!
